**About the role**

The Senior Health and Safety Advisor plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring ‘best practice’ health and safety systems, by supporting the Group Health and Safety Manager in the continuous improvement programme that supports the overarching strategy. If you enjoy building strategy but at the same time need to be out in the field this role could be for you

Based in the Christchurch head office, you will spend part of your week out visiting sites in the wider Canterbury region.

**Duties**
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of the Safety Management System.
- Provide expert health and safety advice to multiple business units and external stakeholders
- Support Group HSM in developing corporate plan
- Support injury management processes
- Provide technical expertise in investigations and audits

**Skills and experience**
- Experience in the agricultural industry is highly desirable
- Tertiary qualification in workplace health and safety is required
- Ability to communicate effectively at a senior level
- Qualification and experience in auditing and change management
- Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
