Systems Engineer

Role description:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical solutions, recommendations and, implement systems while working closely with customers and third-party vendors
- Liaise with clients as to installs, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer systems, hardware, software, and peripherals - taking them through the steps on Windows and Mac-based systems
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues while mentoring and developing other staff within the team
- Support internal account managers with project overviews, estimates and timelines in a clear descriptive format to ensure understanding
- Accurately record and update document requests using our internal database
- Create and maintain site documentation and build process documentation for other peers to follow
- Provide advice and testing of new systems and technologies which might be a good fit for our customers.
This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

- Strong communication skills and be able to understand our customers business needs and communicate in a non-technical manner, both written and spoken
- Proven experience with Active Directory, Hyper-V and Windows Server Deployments
- Experience in Azure Administration including on-premise to Azure migrations, managing virtual machines, Azure AD, VPNs, Security Gateways and new deployments
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Platform: SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive and Intune
- Proven experience with Windows endpoint deployments using Microsoft Autopilot and Intune
- Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam, Datto and Synology
- Previous experience with RMM products, Ninja RMM an advantage
