The Opportunity
We are looking for our newest IDEXXer to join our commercial sales team as an Account Manager in New Zealand. The role is a full time permanent role based in Auckland.
Reporting to the Business Manager (Sales) - NZ, this role offers a genuine opportunity to partner with our veterinary customers and improve lives through our unique and market leading diagnostic solutions including our in-house instruments and pathology laboratory services.
What you can expect
As an Account Manager you will manage and grow your clients’ accounts with a clear understanding of their veterinary business and diagnostic needs; you will successfully inspire them to adopt and use “The IDEXX Complete Diagnostic Solution” to raise their standards of care. You will be results oriented, have an outstanding level of customer service and responsiveness and you will have a genuine passion for veterinary medicine and care, with a keen drive to deliver outstanding results.
There is significant variety to the role and you will find no two days the same. You will be developing partnerships with veterinarians, owners and clinic teams to help grow their business; selling IDEXX products and services and helping to onboard and train the veterinary teams on IDEXX diagnostic equipment, services and technology.
The role will include regular travel across the key rural areas of the North Island.
You will have
A strong sales and technical background ideally with small OR mixed animals
A strong understanding of the veterinary industry, you may even be a veterinarian or a Veterinary Nurse
Ideally, a proven sales track record and ability to deliver outstanding sales results
A demonstrated record of providing exceptional customer service and responsiveness
Outstanding (or the ability to develop) organisation and territory management skills
Exceptional communication skills and ability to understand and share technical information
Superior relationship building skills to create long term business opportunities and customer loyalty
Experience selling diagnostic equipment and/or capital equipment is highly regarded
A desire to make a difference to animal health.
