Transportation Engineer

We are currently recruiting a Transportation Engineer to join Aurecon in Christchurch. This role sits in our Transport team in Christchurch and will see you providing technical inputs and creating valuable solutions to support to a variety of key transport planning and infrastructure projects.
What will you do?
Our projects ranging from transport advisory and planning through concept design, detailed design and construction. This extends across a variety of transport modes, including cycling and walking, public transport and safety. It’s an exciting time to join the Aurecon team as you will be joining a team helping drive many of these projects forward.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:
- Deliver services in geometric design of roads, designing work traffic signals and systems, concept design, identifying problems and providing solutions
- Work collaboratively across integrated project and Aurecon teams, building relationships with clients and coordinating with other asset owners
What can you bring to the team?
- In-depth experience in designing roads, work traffic signals and concept design
- A passion for providing technical guidance and support and an interest in asking WHY?
- Project management skills, including resourcing, financial, risk and safety, client, and information management
- Strong interpersonal skills to support team management and interactions with key external stakeholders through client relationship development activities
- A relevant tertiary qualification
