**Job Description**:
As a Senior Consultant (Transport Planner) in our New Zealand business, your impact will be in the project management of concurrent Transport Planning projects, delivery of technical advice, leading bid proposals and business development activity.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead the delivery of Transport Planning projects for key clients and infrastructure projects
- Provide technical expertise and advice relating to traffic engineering, land use/transport integration, approval processes and management
- Provide strategic advice to clients relating to transport planning, transport infrastructure, transport network design for active, public, freight and private vehicle modes
- Undertake traffic impact assessments
- Undertake supporting analysis for business cases and other necessary studies and projects for clients
- Manage the successful delivery of concurrent projects through the different stages of the project lifecycle and support the delivery of strategic transport advisory projects
- Proactively identify opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Unit’s across Egis Group
- Generate new work and profitable business performance, through the maintenance and building upon new and existing client relationships

**Qualifications**:
Ideally, you will have 5-10 years prior experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment, in addition you will also have:

- Tertiary qualifications in either Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Economics, Finance and/or Business
- Demonstrated understanding of transport planning, urban planning, placemaking, business cases development and transport assessments
- Demonstrated experience working and advising on public sector projects
- Proven project management skills across full life cycle of projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Well-developed critical thinking and problem solving abilities
