**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in Organic Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Adjuvants to join Te Wānanga Matū - School of Chemical and Physical Sciences, on a full-time contract for 12 months.

Key responsibilities:

- Undertake high quality research and contribute to creating research outputs.
- Actively engage with the group and assist with supervision of post-graduate students.
- Contribute to teaching and assessment and undertake minor administrative tasks.

**Ō pūmanawa - About you**

You will be a motivated individual who can take the initiative, who has good attention to detail, robust time management skills, and excellent written and oral communication abilities. To thrive in this role, you will enjoy engaging with a wide range of people and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role will be extremely rewarding and interesting for the right individual.

Key requirements:

- A PhD and research experience in both chemical synthesis and biological assays.
- A developing record of quality research outputs.
- Experience in chemical synthesis laboratory.
- Demonstrated biochemical knowledge.
- Evidence of good oral and written communication skills.
