Our 3,000-plus Procurement & Logistics employees work in more than 100 countries to obtain and supply millions of products and services in over 200 categories from thousands of suppliers all over the world. Our goal is to create a supply base that works as an extended enterprise, creating value through continuous improvement in quality, technology and logistics, while optimizing cost and sustainability. Join us as Procurement and Logistics Specialist and you’ll be a vital part of the team. Reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Manager, you will support the implementation, maintenance and compliance of Procurement & Logistics activities.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Designing and implementing plans for local sourcing to reach set business targets and supporting regional and global sourcing initiatives
- Identifying supply risk and market information, and work with Global Category Management, R&D, Quality and Production departments to source and communicate a strategic supply base that best fits the requirements of ABB and the product
- Supporting R&D and Engineering in sourcing activities. Finding new potential materials or new potential suppliers
- Leading by example by demonstrating health, safety and environment best practices and business ethics in day-to-day operations, contract management and negotiations
- Standardizing processes and implementing routines as per global directives
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business

**Your background**:

- Extensive Supply Chain Management experience
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel
- A tertiary qualification in either Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical engineering or experience in related industry advantageous but not essential
- A good understanding of manufacturing requirements and commercial agreements
- Superior negotiation skills in a multicultural and challenging global business environment
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills
