We’re on the lookout for an Executive Producer who is passionate about sport, sharp with content, and thrives under the pressure of live broadcasting. At Sport Nation, our Executive Producers are at the heart of creating compelling radio and digital content for our key shows, from Breakfast to Drive.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll work closely with your hosts to shape the show’s direction, book must-hear guests and develop creative segments that resonate with Kiwi sports fans. You’ll know how to get the best out of your hosts by creating an environment where they can shine on air. Whether it’s a high-stakes interview, a last-minute guest change, or delivering a clever piece of branded content, you’ll ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll also bring a strong understanding of the commercial side of media, with the ability to deliver sponsor commitments accurately and creatively. Technical confidence is essential, from running the desk and editing audio to managing social media and digital content, you’ll have your hands on the tools that power great radio. **Where and how you can work...**

We have offices expanding across multiple locations in New Zealand and Australia. _This is a full time role based in our Auckland office._

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to thrive in a dynamic environment, with the flexibility to work varying days and hours in line with the show. While some preparation can be done from home, this role will be mostly based in the office alongside the Sport Nation team.

**Your day-to-day...**
- Own every aspect of the show from talent and content to studio, sound, and digital, on and off the air.
- Generate compelling content ideas, brief guests, and work closely with talent to deliver engaging, agenda-setting shows.
- Stay across the sporting news cycle to ensure the show reflects what matters most to the audience each day.
- Ensure full compliance with broadcasting standards and media law, cutting or dumping content when required.
- Coordinate with internal teams like News, Digital, and Tech to ensure smooth delivery and cross-platform alignment.
- Develop and foster relationships within the Entain brands TAB and betcha to create collaborative content both on air and digitally.
- Manage in-show execution, including guest timing, live reads, prize delivery, and audience interaction.
- Support and guide talent on-air, providing live feedback and helping maintain energy and focus.
- Wrap up the show efficiently by completing run sheets, sharing content, logging technical issues, and saving useful contacts.

**You're a match if you ideally have...**
- Tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, or equivalent industry experience.
- A strong understanding of the wagering market and brands in New Zealand, and how TAB and betcha platforms operate.
- Strong editorial judgment with a keen sense of what matters to Kiwi sports fans and what drives the sporting news cycle.
- Proven experience in radio production, including panelling, Zetta automation, audio editing (Cool Edit, Audition, Audacity), and Phonebox (Bionic Studio).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- High attention to detail, with strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines independently.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging content and promotional ideas.
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand sports, especially Rugby, Cricket, NRL, and Racing, backed by relevant industry contacts.
- Bonus: Skills in video editing, videography, and graphic design to support multimedia content and show promotion.
