Executive Producer, Three News at Stuff
Stuff is on the lookout for an exceptional editorial leader to take on the position of Executive Producer, Three News.
As Executive Producer, you’ll oversee the creative direction, editorial output and production of Three News ensuring it remains relevant, audience-driven and distinctly New Zealand.
You’ll inspire excellence in storytelling, champion innovation in visual journalism, and use emerging technologies to deliver a world‑class product every day.
You’ll combine editorial judgment, creative vision and technical expertise to lead the evolution of Three News from concept to broadcast and beyond.
With a sharp instinct for what matters and a passion for innovation, you’ll push the boundaries of visual storytelling while maintaining the highest editorial and ethical standards.
You’ll also collaborate closely with Stuff Digital’s senior editors every day to ensure Three News meets audience expectations, business goals and is aligned with Stuff’s commitment to unique and essential journalism.

What you’ll bring
Extensive experience as a senior news or current affairs producer.
Strong editorial instincts and deep understanding of digital news ecosystems and TV production.
Proven leadership and people‑management skills with a collaborative, inclusive approach.
Advanced knowledge of video production workflows, live broadcast operations and post‑production processes.
Familiarity with, or keen interest in, AI‑assisted production and content optimisation tools.
Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
Commitment to innovation, integrity and audience trust in journalism.
