Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) is a Charitable Trust and is the largest social service and aged care provider in Southland.
PSS encompasses two service arms - Enliven, which offers services for the older generation including residential aged care, retirement living options and support while living at home, and Family Works, which offers a range of social services.
We work to enable a positive and lasting change for everyone in our community and offer support services to people regardless of their beliefs, ethnicity, or background.
Peacehaven Village is located on Tweed Street and provides a range of care options for the elderly in our community from self-contained units to hospital care.
**The Role**:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Activities Co-ordinator to facilitate the activities programme for our Dementia Care residents at Peacehaven Village. This role is permanent part-time working twenty-one (21) hours per week. The focus of the role is the planning and implementation of group and individual activities which meet the needs of our residents.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Completing and regularly reviewing Resident’s support plans
- Ensuring activities are planned to reflect the needs identified to the resident
- Ensuring resources and equipment are maintained and accessible to staff
- Communicating with colleagues, volunteers, residents, and their families/whanau so everyone knows in advance the activities available

**What you will need to be successful in the role**:

- Dementia LCP (Limited Credit Programme) Level 4 or willingness to complete
- Previous experience in a similar role working with elderly clients
- Current full driver’s license and comfortable driving a van
- Strong team player who thrives on working collaboratively
- Qualification in Health and Wellbeing or Diversional Therapy an advantage
