Our trailblazing spirit can be felt in every Ryman experience, so if you like the sound of this, then read on **About the Role** We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Special Care Unit at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village located in Waikiwi, Invercargill.** **The role includes working Tuesday to Saturday 0800 - 1630 with a shared on-call component. - As the Special Care Unit Coordinator, you will use your nursing and people skills to:_ - Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care is always _"good enough for mum and dad"_ - Foster the Ryman culture which promotes a safe and enjoyable work experience for your team - Ensure all care is continuously assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet the needs of each resident within the Special Care Unit - Actively engage with resident's families/whānau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards, creating lasting relationships - Ensure your team embrace a range of beliefs, ethnicities, gender, sexuality, and principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi - Perform and support your nursing team to conduct interRAI assessments - Intermittently provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families as needed - Dedicate quality time with your team, including flexibility of rostered hours on different shifts to connect with all team members within the unit - Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team that promotes respect and trust - Participate as a positive and trusting member of a team that works together as one - Provide support to your Clinical Manager and Village Manager **About You** - To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have:_- A current APC (annual practising certificate) - interRAI training or willingness to gain competency - Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader - The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team - Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents - Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village Manager **About our Benefits** - Working at Ryman has benefits beyond providing the best care to our residents - _as part of our team, you will:_ - Have certainty of hours through fixed rosters - Be provided with opportunities for career progression with ongoing support for professional development - Appreciate our pleasing resident-to-staff ratio, allowing for more personalised care - Receive education, long service and wellness leave on top of standard leave - Have opportunities to work in both New Zealand and Australia - Work within a secure building with 24-hour management and support - Access over 60 discounts with well-known brands across a variety of sectors including health and wellbeing, banking, insurance, retail, and more If you think you share the same values as we do to make a difference, we would love to hear from you - Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews may take place before the close date.
