**About the role**:
**Data and Visualisation Analyst**
**Location: Ponsonby, Auckland**
**Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid**
This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive Data and Visualisation Analyst who thrives on solving complexing problems and turning data into meaningful insights. Working from our Support Office you’ll play a crucial role in supporting both our New Zealand and Australian teams.
You’ll work across diverse datasets, build analytics prototypes, enhance reporting products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, impactful data solutions. If you’re someone who loves learning, enjoys working with Power BI, and is eager to grow within a supportive and dynamic environment, this role is for you.
- Deliver high-quality **data analytics and visualisation solutions** that support informed decision-making across the organisation.
- Prototype analytical models and develop analytics solutions that help answer key business questions.
- Analyse diverse datasets, identify trends, and generate **actionable insights** for multiple divisions.
- Build, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot **Power BI reports.**
- Support ongoing operations by updating Databricks tables, data models, and assisting with data pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to solve business problems and clarify requirements.
- Present insights using effective data visualisation techniques and modern analytics practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams—including design, operations, and delivery—to contribute to high-quality outcomes.
**Qualifications**
**About you**:
We’re looking for an analytical thinker who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights. With experience in data analysis and visualisation, you’re comfortable working with modern data tools and adapting as new technologies emerge. You bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, while also being confident working independently. Most importantly, you’re proactive, eager to learn, and motivated to make a real impact through data.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Data Analytics or an equivalent field
- 2-3 years of proven experience in a Data Analyst and/or Data Visualisation role
- Strong proficiency Power BI
- Experience working with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with a process-orientated approach
- Any data engineering experience is not essential but advantageous
