We are a dedicated team responsible for promoting and securing a strong portfolio of Grundfos products and services for customers within commercial buildings. Daily, we are in close dialogue with wholesalers, installers, consultants, and other technical personnel with our clients as trusted business partners.

To ensure excellent sales experience, we collaborate closely with other departments in Grundfos. Due to a valuable learning heritage, we act on behalf of global standards adapting them to a local context.

As a Sales Engineer with us, you will be responsible for building and nurturing a broad network of clients and relations. This is part of your dealings with daily technical requests and other project-related matters as well as creating new business opportunities. By maintaining a strong relationship with your clients, you will have plenty of room for meeting your customers. This is a variety of attending specific client meetings, fairs, and events.

**What is the job about?**

Most of your time will be with customers and the more specific area will be defined when you start. However, you will be part of our team in Auckland having a lot of flexibility to be working from home. In summary, your day-to-day tasks will be to:

- Handling of sales within assigned business scope within the framework of the strategies and policies of the company
- Implementation of sales policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies
- Create and maintain a good relationship with customers
- According to the sales target, work out sales strategy and sales budget in the specific business area of the specific region. After review and approval by the management, carry out the qualitative and quantitative tasks in respect of policies and the authority assigned
- Monitor account receivable balance every month; follow up with customers on outstanding balances and ensure that customers pay as per terms to help manage cash flow and reduce potential bad debts
- Maintain good relationships with dealers, building project’s owner, engineering contractor, design institute, consulting firms, and authorities
- Other tasks assigned by managers

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide world-class customer service, reflecting superior knowledge of customer needs and perception of the best value
- Execution of the Performance Unit (PU) tactical plan including both sales and marketing activities
- Deliver added customer value reflecting a sell-through mindset, demonstrating an understanding of end-customer needs and where relevant, development of key end-user relationships
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager (BDM) and Key Account Managers (KAM) to drive profitable sales growth across National Key Accounts
- Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in the PU to achieve goals
- Retention and growth of key customers including dealers, consultants, and end-users maintaining personal contact with all key stakeholders (buying and non-buying)
- Identify and execute new opportunities within the PU to increase SOW and potential growth areas
- Conduct customer training in both online and face-to-face formats
- Any other duties commensurate with the position as required
- Experience driving developed processes within Commercial Building Services
- Ability to lead processes or projects
- Ability to lead a business process within Commercial Building Services.
- Most likely to have 3-5 years of relevant work experience before entering level besides formal education
- Solid knowledge of the plans, processes, and activities within the functional area of Commercial Building Services
- Strong ability to influence others and possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws, and regulations where applicable, for the Commercial Building Services
