- They are offering a unique opportunity for someone who already has some purchasing and leadership experience in the automotive industry, to come on board in a Branch Supervisor & Purchasing capacity.
- You will report directly to and work closely with the NZ General Manager who is absolutely passionate about his business and absolutely passionate about ensuring his team deliver customer service to the highest quality at all times.
- This dedication to service has earnt the business success for many years now.
- This role has been newly created to bring someone in to free up some of the General Manager’s time, and learn the ropes from him.

**Duties and Responsibilities include however are not limited to**:

- Initially take ownership of the purchasing & stock control functions
- Observe current systems and processes & suggest enhancements where possible
- Purchasing will be a large part of your role initially
- Create reports (e.g. breakdown of sales by product) to ensure regular reporting to offshore Head Office
- Assist CFO (based Australia) with NZ branch related support when necessary
- Act as 2IC to GM/Branch Manager - managing staff when called for
- Prepare quarterly board packs and perhaps presenting those to board in time
- Manage all audit processes e.g. liaise with external auditors
- Work closely with the branch Accountant.
- Do some digging into the inventory processes & systems.
- Complete sanity checks on POs
- Step in and help run stocktakes

**Hours, Location and Duration**:

- Mondays to Fridays
- Possibly required to work one Saturday per month
- 45 hours paid per week - 8am-5.30pm
- Based 100% on site in North Shore, Auckland office
- This is a full-time permanent opportunity

**About you**:

- You will have experience leading/managing/supervising a team
- It is preferable that you have work experience in the automotive industry
- If you have experience/knowledge working with brakes or clutches that would be a huge advantage
- You’ll be resilient with impeccable attention to detail
- You’ll naturally build relationships easily both with co-workers and customers
- You’ll be that person who loves looking at processes & systems and coming up with fresh ideas to implement which will ultimately benefit both internal & external stakeholders
- Purchasing experience would be advantageous but not mandatory
- If you’re a hard worker with a great work ethic you’ll fast earn respect & go far in this business
- You’ll be analytical by nature
