**About the Role**

The Physiotherapy department delivers quality, patient focused services across all specialty areas on the Burwood Hospital Campus. We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our busy Physiotherapy team in Older Persons Health. This is an exciting opportunity to refine your skills as a Physiotherapy Assistant and develop your career in healthcare

Starting from $72,074 to $86,719. Based off the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement.

Tasks will include:

- Departmental duties such as cleaning/maintaining equipment and clinical spaces, checking and maintaining consumables and stock
- Delivering and set up of equipment across the hospital
- Supervision of exercise programmes in both inpatient and outpatients setting
- Assist with the provision and supervision of Hydrotherapy programmes
- Assist the Physiotherapist with the delivery of one to one rehabilitation treatment

**About you**
- Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicator
- The ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation plans across Older Persons Health and outpatient settings
- Basic computer skills essential
- Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to health
- Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of health
- knowledge of safe manual handling processes
