of health is essential We are seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant with
previous experience in a hospital inpatient setting to join us at the Burwood
Campus as part of our wider Older Person - s Health and Rehabilitation Service.
This is an exciting opportunity to refine your skills as a Physiotherapy
Assistant and develop your career in healthcare Your main area of work will be
in the inpatient Older Persons wards, treating patients who are largely over 65
with a change in their baseline function and needing a period of rehab.
This
is a part time (32hr per week) opportunity.
The days and hours required are Monday - Friday, 0900-1600 for 4 days and
one day 0900-1530. The short day can be negotiated but would be preferable on a
Wednesday.
Some weekend work is a requirement of the role but this is
rostered on a social basis and the type of roster and the amount of work is
negotiable.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Assisting your Physiotherapist

colleagues in delivering treatment and rehabilitation plans in a rehab hospital
setting;
- The setting out of
equipment in preparation for physiotherapy sessions or meetings as required;
- The maintenance and
monitoring of supplies and equipment within the department.
- Assisting with Hydrotherapy programmes
for patients
- Facilitating group exercise sessions
