**Job Description**:
**Goals**
Contribute to the development and execution of TheMarket’s paid search and Google Ads strategy.
Constantly challenge best practices and test new ideas to continuously improve traffic, revenue and ROAS, comfortably hitting targets every step of the way.
With the use of industry-leading tools, technology and large budgets, help to transform TheMarket into one of New Zealand’s most technologically advanced Search teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders and genuinely get things done - no more waiting for clients to sign off on ideas or building out fluffy, templated reports.
**Key Areas of Responsibilities**
- Feed management/optimisation, primarily within GMC, using supplemental feeds, custom rules, and briefing in tech
- Paid Search Strategy & Management:
- Day to day paid search account management including budget pacing and analysis
- Ongoing Google Search and Shopping optimisation/setup
- Large scale keyword research & optimisation
- Ad copy writing, testing & optimisation
- Creative use of 1P and 3P audiences including customer match, remarketing and in-market
- Testing & managing automated bid strategies via third party tools, Google and SA360
- Managing search campaigns at scale - utilising feeds and large data sets to build and maintain scalable search campaigns
- Work closely with experts across the business to create and execute paid search campaigns and ad copy in line with our constantly evolving campaign calendar
- Ensure content and audience targeting covers TheMarket’s wide range of merchants, categories and personas
**Performance Management**:
- Trade within assigned budgets maximising ROAS and revenue
- Proactive management and accountability for paid strategy across search to achieve traffic and ROAS targets including; Continuous running of appropriate ads; Budgets maximised and optimised for performance goals; Adoption of any new relevant tools or channels as needed
- Liaise with the Leadership Team, IT and Design if needed on any relevant website developments
- Provide on-going best practise and identify digital trends relevant to TheMarket’s goals evolving the workflow, strategy as well and the user funnel over time
- Collaborate closely with agencies, vendors and Google to identify opportunities for growth
- Constantly testing and evolving our strategy over time to continue pushing for growth year over year
**Targets & Reporting**:
- Meet, analyse and report on Digital Marketing OKRs such as traffic generation, ROAS, GMV/revenue, conversion and multi-channel attribution onsite and in-app
- Generate actionable weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly reports on performance
- Use appropriate reporting platforms including Excel/Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, Supermetrics, Funnel.io, Klipfolio, SQL and PowerBI to provide the right data and insights
- Ensure accurate tracking of Google Ads activity via UTMs, GA4, GTM, Google Ads Pixel and Floodlight tags
**Martech Development**:
- Assist the team with investigating and implementing new projects, martech and channels as required
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience (4-7 years) managing high-performing paid search campaigns for an enterprise level retail / ecommerce business (ideally managing multi-million dollar budgets)
- Experience with Google Marketing Platform (GMP) and Search Ads 360 would be beneficial
- Tracking and tagging setup and implementation, an understanding of URL parameters and tracking pixels, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Strong analytical understanding of numbers and a solid working knowledge of Google Analytics, Excel/Google Sheets and Google Data Studio
- Strong communication skills, ability to chat search and Google Ads. Ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with DSPs, remarketing, video advertising and programmatic planning/buying would be advantageous
- Experience with various martech/ad tech would be advantageous but not required, including any experience with CDP, GMP, DMP, personalization, AB testing tools, dashboards and app tracking
- Proactive with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Efficient and deadline savvy
- Excellent written, verbal & presentation communication skills
