Are you a natural connector and communicator who is community focused with the ability to build an effective professional network?

This role will provide you with many opportunities to utilise your operational experience and advanced relationship building skills, as you ensure that our service reaches the people who need it, when they need it. Leading our dedicated Community Engagement team, you will take the lead in creating strategic community relationships, while evaluating and enhancing systems and processes to ensure the best possible service and support for the community we serve.

This role currently leads our Pathways and Whanau Ora teams with development plans to grow our cultural service offerings and create a new Whakawhanaungatanga team providing the onboarding case management of new people into our service.

Taikura Trust is the region's single facilitator of needs assessment and service coordination of support services for people under 65 years, who have a physical, intellectual or sensory impairment, or autism. Above all, Taikura Trust is about bringing certainty to the lives of the people we support and walking the journey with children and families to live the lives they choose.

**About the role**
- Oversight of a community engagement, cultural, waharoa and navigation model that encourages opportunities to connect with people who need support.
- Engagement with a range of stakeholders to ensure real opportunities for our clients to access Taikura's services.
- Monitor and enhance our referral process and the eligibility screening function.
- Leading a diverse team of dedicated professionals, providing an environment of support, guidance, trust and continuous learning. Demonstrate commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the values of Taikura Trust

- Outstanding communicator, with the ability to foster effective, transparent strategic relationships where exceptional service delivery is the shared goal.
- Experience in process design and continuous improvement in a complex environment where the needs of multiple stakeholders are considered.
- Highly effective people leader, with the ability to develop a strong, cohesive team through empowerment and education
