Due to ongoing project success in our New Zealand Transport region, we are now seeking a **Principal Civil Engineer** in our Roads & Highways section, reporting into the Section Leader. The purpose of this role is to provide engineering, design/project management, verification skills and project leadership capability to our project team. The role includes managing Jacobs risk on proposals and projects by undertaking Project Management, Project Engineering, Designated Project Executive (DPE) and Design Manager roles. This position also provides technical leadership across civil engineering and land development projects, maintaining of existing client relationships and the development of new relationships and market opportunities. This position will also be required to lead project teams or sub teams and provide leadership and coordination to our Global Design Centres, more junior staff and remote teams. #LI-AP1 #APMETransport #ANZTransport #APACTransport #ANZCivilEngineering **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Degree in civil engineering or related discipline preferred Experience in civil engineering and specifically large civil infrastructure projects - Understand general civil design principles and standards relating to transport infrastructure and general civil engineering projects - Desire to achieve high quality outputs and deliver excellent service - Experienced working with clients to deliver great solutions - Understand project processes and how disciplines interact Co-ordination of people around project/process - Excellent communication skills with a positive disposition Has experience working in or contributing to a strong team culture **Jacobs.
