**Job Description**:
Our ANZ Aviation team is looking to recruit a Principal Civil Engineer to join our New Zealand business, within our Auckland Transportation team. In this role you will design and deliver civil aviation projects for our international and regional commercial airports, as well as our Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces’ portfolio of airfields.
**The role will require experience in one of the following disciplines (or a combination thereof)**:
- Project Management
- Design Management
- Pavement Engineering
- Geometric Design
- Construction management and monitoringIt is also expected that there will be regular contact with AECOM’s clients and construction partners, as well as a requirement to be involved in business development and winning work across ANZ.

**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
It is expected that you will have:
- 8+ years’ experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment and use influencing skills to drive initiatives.
- Demonstrated skills in report writing, client interfacing, workshopping and presentations.
- Strong aviation experience in Project Management, Design Management, Pavement Engineering, Geometric Design or Construction Management.
**Knowledge of**:
ICAO Annex 14 and related ICAO planning and design guidelines. NZ CAA Advisory Circular Part 139 (or other equivalent ICAO member states 139 design guidance). Relevant US FAA ACs.
- Experience in interface different disciplines; including airfield pavements, drainage, structures, AGL, radio navigational aids, apron inground services, fuel systems, fuel spill interception and floodlighting.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships, gain trust, and support senior leaders in environments with pressing delivery schedules.
- Working experience with aviation clients, airlines and authorities in ANZ and the Pacific would be an advantage.
- This role requires that you to have the ability to travel throughout ANZ and the Pacific as needed.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
