The role:
Our Surveillance team tend to work behind-the-scenes, but they're not the "watch dogs" you might expect them to be. Sure, they monitor our surveillance footage, but they also play a big part in helping all our departments measure and avoid risk, help with investigations and assist during major events and emergencies.
As a Surveillance Operator, you'll be monitoring and analysing the gaming areas within SkyCity. You'll use special cameras and other equipment to monitor all the activities that happens in our gaming areas. A lot of quick action takes place here, so our Surveillance Operators are always on high alert.
You:
You'll naturally be curious, have an investigative mind and a keen eye for detail. Your ability to observe and interpret video surveillance footage and maintaining a logical approach to dealing with issues are key parts to this role. There are many things that will happen in this role at once, from carefully keeping an eye on cameras, to liaising with different key stakeholders throughout the day so it goes without a saying that your multi-tasking and communication skills will be fantastic.
The must-haves:
You must be over 20 years of age and as SkyCity is a 24/7 business, you'll need to be available to work on a 24/7 rostered basis. The surveillance teamwork 10 and 12 hour shifts so flexibility is required. You'll also need a good head for numbers Someone with experience in a Casino environment or Gaming experience would be highly desirable.
