We have an opportunity for an HR & Payroll Officer to join our HR team based in Queenstown. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you will be part of a small team supporting our businesses with HR, payroll and administrative capability. The diverse nature of businesses in our group creates a wide range of experiences and challenges, making it a great opportunity for someone wanting to develop an HR oriented career.

Key activities will include;
- Providing support to managers in recruitment processes.
- Co-ordinating recruitment advertising.
- Preparation of employment agreements and onboarding documentation.
- Administration of employee HR records.
- Maintenance of Intranet site and HR portal.
- Assisting in development and implementation of HR policies.
- Maintaining data in HR computer systems.
- Processing of payroll for allocated companies, as part of the payroll team.
- PAYE filing to IRD, journaling of payroll to general ledger, and payroll reporting.

We are seeking a positive, motivated person with strong communication skills, an ability to multitask, and produce a high volume of work with speed and accuracy. You will be administratively strong with a natural affinity with technology and systems. You will be someone who is excited by solving problems and implementing solutions, and gets satisfaction from helping others.

You will have previous experience in an HR and/or payroll setting. While you will learn the specifics of our systems, you will have used HR or payroll systems in your career to date.
