We are seeking to employ two CNC operators in our joinery operations in Christchurch.

**Job duties may include**:

- Loading and unloading materials onto the CNC and then sorting them and stacking them onto trollies,
- Need to be able to handle some heavy lifting and be a clean and tidy person who takes care of the area they work in and be someone who is Health & Safety conscious
- Learn and understand the operation of CNC plate processing machinery.
- Load and unload materials into the machines, ensuring proper positioning.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with experienced operators and supervisors to develop your skills.
- Cutting and shaping wood by using CNC machinery.
- Able to follow technical instructions closely.
- Review and study blueprints
- Use of handheld power tools and machinery - maintaining tools, blades, and bits.
- Able to follow health and safety rules and work quickly and accurately.

**Desirable attributes**:

- Must have one year experience as a CNC Operator in the joinery industry
- Can work independently and produce quality work with minimum supervision.
- Be dynamic towards process and technology.
- Is effective at problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work Saturdays
- Knowledge to use Mosaic would be an advantage
- Be fit, active, motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and criminal history checks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read technical drawings.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced operators.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
