**About the role**

Due to significant growth, our Wellington office is expanding and we are looking for a Structural Engineer to join us. Here you will have the opportunity to gain site experience working on a large maritime infrastructure project of National importance. You will also have the chance to work alongside other disciplines and gain exposure to a wide breadth of projects across Australasia and globally.

**What will I do?**
- You will be responsible for the delivery and development of engineering design tasks and other major infrastructure project to meet client requirements for the documentation of various civil, structural and/or rail infrastructure design.
- Provide support for the Civil, Civil Structures, Electrical and Rail groups (and other groups as required), including taking responsibility for production of all drawing and design information using the latest version of CAD software.
- Provide new and innovative Digital/Automation solutions to problems to develop effective and efficient solutions and ensure the group keeps pace with new advancements in technology in the industry.
- You will be participating in the delivery of complex civil structure optioneering, analysis and design including development of new bridge structures, strengthening of existing bridge structures, tunnelling, deep excavation and underground internal structures.
- You will be required to work with an optimum level of supervision in your area of responsibility, and you may be accountable for defined parts of design projects;
- **What will I bring?**
Experience in structural analysis, design and finite element modelling of civil structures including bridges and underground structures;
- Knowledge in railway network, deep excavation and foundation design;
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments;
- Effective written communication and report writing skills;
- Ability to maintain personal effectiveness particularly during periods of higher than normal workload;
