Our client is an established food production & distribution industry leader supplying food retail & hospitality customers nationwide.

Reporting to the Production Manager & supervising temporary & permanent production staff, including Production Administrators.

Main duties include;
- Driving performance and improvements in achieving production targets within cost & quality constraints
- Ensuring Lean principals are applied
- Mentor and develop the skills of production staff to provide future opportunities and succession planning.
- Manufacture of product that meets company quality standards.
- Enforcing the approach that the all practicable steps will be taken to achieve the required standard of safety.
- Lead production staff in setting and maintaining highest operating standards by directing, coaching, supporting and delegating (as appropriate) activities to achieve improvement objectives of quality, waste, efficiency, labour utilisation, GMP standards and safety.
- Collection review & analysis of daily production records & input & timely closure on production plans.
- Ensure appropriate stock rotation of material requirements for production.
- Setting of the daily production plan to optimise resources & operating efficiencies
- Assisting with preparing & ensuring compliance to SOP’s & training documentation.
- Co-ordination of services: laundry, temp & casual labour requirements as required.

Hours of work are 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with some work required outside these hours.

This positon will appeal to applicants with three years minimum of food production, blending, and packaging experience, along with a proven record of staff supervision and development.
