Kaipak Ltd is a small team of plastic jar masters. With our plastic packaging solutions we’re set to take the consumer experience of New Zealand-produced food and health products to the next level.

The Assistant Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting the entire running of the production team, and assisting with financial management staff supervising, prevention of wastage and helping the business grow and flourish.

This is a full-time permanent position with a minimum 30 hours/week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the implementation of laid down procedures in the production line.
- Ensure best practices and safe practices are maintained in production as per regulations.
- Help to maintain stock levels of raw materials and finished goods and assist in ensuring NO items are out of stock.
- Participating in enduring the business runs profitably and in accordance with the set budget.
- Support the manager in training and supervision of staff to ensure optimum productivity and performance is delivered.
- Assist compliance with all local and central government and council policies.
- Ensuring effective implementation of FCP, procedures and standards relating to the premises security and safety.
- Assist with the prevention of theft or vandalism, Monitor and report any misconduct to manager.
- Actively participate in staff meetings and provide suggestions for increasing profitability and managing any issues that arise.
- Maintaining healthy relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Help to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Qualification of level 4 or above is recommended
- Excellent communication skills and work effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure
