Reporting directly to the National Retail Manager, the Area Manager will oversee our four Kookai Boutiques in Auckland; located at Sylvia Park, Commercial Bay, Ponsonby and Teed Street.
This role is responsible for providing effective and supportive leadership with a particular focus on leading and inspiring a team towards delivery of total customer satisfaction and driving, achieving and exceeding KPI targets. You will be responsible for ensuring staffing, service and store standard levels are maintained in line with company expectations.

**What you’ll be doing**:
- Develop and maintain a harmonious working environment to maximise employee commitment and engagement
- Develop a high-performance team ensuring the very best Store Managers and 2IC’s are positioned in each store to maximise full potential of each business, making succession planning as ongoing focus
- Train, develop and coach Store Managers following our training guidelines and requirements
- Facilitate group training workshops as required and ensure training is completed by Store Managers within each store for all employees
- Guide, support and conduct, when necessary, all performance discussions in line with company standards and policies
- Achieve store profit contribution and KPI targets within the region
- Ensure region and store operational requirements are effectively completed
- Ensure a high standard of store presentation and visual merchandising is maintained
- Analyse sales trends and opportunities and action planning accordingly
**What we’d love from you**:
- Proven experience as an Area Manager and/or Multi Site Manager within a retail fashion business
- Proven experience in leading, engaging and motivating teams
- Proven success in achieving sales and KPI results
- Ability to present information and respond to queries from senior management on sales performance figures and relevant stock and store information
- Excellent communication skills
- Pragmatic, hands on approach
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Financial acumen with the ability to read and interpret basic financial reports, including P&L statements
- Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency
- Problem solving skills
- Adaptability
