RedBull Powder Company manufactures a range of explosives products and provides comprehensive drilling and blasting services to quarries, mines and construction projects across New Zealand.

We are recruiting for a **Heavy Equipment Mechanic** to help maintain our fleet of Sandvik Top Hammer Drill Rigs. This is a hands-on position which is integral to keeping the fleet running.

**You will be required to**;
- Work independently in performing repairs and maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently with an analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems
- Maintain an accurate record of repairs and fleet information
- Comply with Safe Standard Operating Procedures and Customers site specific requirements
- Other duties as required (welding, fabricating, and some transporter maintenance etc.)
**You will need to have;**:

- Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant and/or Mechanical Fitting Qualification (Newly or nearly qualified mechanics welcome to apply)
- Demonstrated work experience in a similar industry - previous hands on experience in earthmoving or mining experience and capability at Electrical, Electronic and Hydraulic trouble shooting would be highly regarded
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A team player attitude, self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- Good time management with the ability to meet deadlines

Our drill workshop is located in Pokeno. Daily drilling jobs are spread between customer quarry and construction sites across the North Island where you may be required to provided mechanical assistance for repairs, maintenance, or servicing. A company vehicle will be provided.

Ideally the successful applicant would be based in the North Waikato area. Some Saturday work may be required.
