- With over 1,300 staff working together across 13 locations to keep the power on and the lights going for our customers, we pride ourselves on our excellence and innovation, providing commercially viable solutions for electrical and telecommunication design, construction, and maintenance requirements.
- Our Auckland Contracting team is on the hunt for a qualified Cable Jointers to join them and work with lines up to 33kV.**The role**
Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be working within a small team and primarily responsible for the troubleshooting and finding solutions to keep the lines up and running. You will also:
- Install, replace and repair underground distribution assets
- Jointing and termination of distribution assets up to and including 33kV
- Excavate and reinstate underground cable installation sites
- Carry out routine inspections, fault finding and repair overhead installations, underground cables and testing of instruments

**About you**
To be considered for this role you’ll need to have:
- Experience to carry out HV and LV cable jointing and terminating
- Valid NZ Drivers Licence
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a cable jointer
- Sound technical knowledge of cables and local network systems, procedures and standards
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A team player and ‘can do’ attitude with strong interpersonal skills working in a multi-cultural environment
