We are seeking Cable Jointer to support planned and unplanned works, major projects, and ongoing maintenance activities. Depending on location and project needs, various FIFO rosters are available, with competitive allowances and excellent remuneration.

Key ResponsibilitiesGenus Infrastructure Pty Ltd  are seeking qualified High Voltage Cable Jointers. 

  • Maintaining and operating Cable joining equipment and devices.
  • Preparing various types of Cable for splicing.
  • Prepare cable terminations for electrical equipment and overhead lines.
  • Make and repair joins in insulated power supply and control cables installed in underground pipes, trenches, and overhead systems.
  • Joining cables and sealing sheaths with thermoplastics and lead (if accredited).
  • Install and maintain underground electrical cables.

General Requirements

  • Ability to work in Australia
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol testing, and police clearance
  • Alignment with Genus core values. Integrity, collaboration, innovation, safety, and mateship.
  • Willing to relocate to Perth, Australia

Essential Criteria:

  • HV Cable Jointing qualifications.
  • Electrical license
  • Raychem Accreditation
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings and safety practices
  • Proven commitment to safe work practices
  • Valid Driver's Licence – "C" Class.
  • OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in VLF testing
  • Mining and minerals experience
  • Experience in utilities, construction, or resources sectors
  • High Risk Work Licence (EWP)
  • Current Working at Heights Certification
