**Our Client**:
Our client has been around for 160 years, supporting New Zealanders to help them achieve their financial goals. From opening an account through to retirement, our client provides a variety of financial services. Our client is driven to use their experience and size to help local communities and businesses achieve great things.

**The Role**:
Our client is seeking an Application Security Engineer to help with the expansion of this toolset and growing the coverage with these tools.

**You will**:

- Lead the way when it comes to shifting our clients security mindset left
- Extending and maintaining the secure DevOps tooling - including dependency analysis, static code analysis and compliance tools
- Managing the integration of secure DevOps tooling into existing pipelines
- Running secure development workshops for new engineers
- Work with Engineering and Security stakeholders to drive secure development initiatives

**To be successful**:

- Software engineering experience, you’ll have proven experience of building and maintaining systems or infrastructure
- Practical experience with DevOps tooling, either Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, or Artifactory
- Experience with detecting security vulnerabilities, be that via reading source code or general identification from security tooling
- An ability to speak the developer’s language and translate vulnerabilities to a solution
- Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby, bash, or Python
- Familiarity with secure DevOps methodologies
