We are seeking a proven sales leader to run our New Zealand Public Sector business in Wellington, New Zealand. This role is responsible for the growth of our New Zealand Government business and reports to the Area Vice President for Australia & New Zealand.

Based in Wellington, this is a role for someone who can see the value of cloud computing and who has a proven track record of direct sales leadership and experienced sales management success in software or technology in Public Sector. This is a key leadership role, responsible for our New Zealand Government executive engagement, sales leadership, along with our got to market strategy and execution.

**Job Profile**
- The Public Sector Country Manager - New Zealand will be responsible for setting and executing Salesforce’s strategic sales strategy. This executive will assume leadership of a growing sales organisation, including Account Executives, to help drive complex enterprise class transactions & contracts
- Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition strategy to generate annual growth in revenue and bookings
- Maintain key customer executive relationships and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base
- Provide detailed and accurate weekly sales forecasting
- Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management
- Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels
- Thrive in challenging and unprecedented times; motivate and inspire a team; anticipate market changes and act on them quickly
- Establish trusted relationships with key corporate teams, including; industry marketing, product development, product management and recruiting
- Public Sector industry advocacy with Government delivering thought leadership and promoting the impact of transforming citizen service delivery.
- Building a strong positive teaming culture for the extended team selling to the public sector and supporting our public sector customer’s success. Critical to the job success is cross team collaboration and execution.

**Required Skills/Experience**
- 2nd or 3rd line leadership experience leading teams in strategic sales
- Strategic enterprise sales experience and revenue achievement selling multiple enterprise software offerings, in Public Sector
- Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing enterprise sales organisation
- Proven success driving net new business
- Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals
- Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and reference customers
- Proven success working within a highly matrix organisation and establishing strong relationships across all functions
- C-suite level resources, aligned with Account Executives and internal leadership teams to present a single front internally and help represent a single vision for our customers
- Strong operational and analytical abilities
