**Summer Internship Opportunity: Manufacturing Engineering Intern - Spacecraft Composites**

**ABOUT SPACE SYSTEMS AT ROCKET LAB**:
Join the Space Systems Manufacturing Engineering team at Rocket Lab, where we are at the forefront of producing cutting-edge spacecraft. Our team specialises in propulsion systems, ADCS components, composite panels, and multi-layer insulation. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best engineers and technicians in the world on some of the most exciting space programs.

**WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO**:
As an intern on our team, you will support material testing activities for composite/aluminium honeycomb sandwich panels. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Characterising and Overseeing Sandwich Panel Mechanical Tests**: Conduct mechanical tests to evaluate the performance of materials used in our spacecraft.
- **Documenting Test Procedures and Results**: Maintain detailed records of test procedures and results to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
- **Development of Material Specification Documents**: Contribute to the creation and refinement of material specification documents, ensuring they meet the highest standards.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Current student in one of the following fields: Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical or Process Engineering
- Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities that show a desire to learn outside their field and grow at a rapid rate.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

**REQUIREMENT**:
You must be available to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning November 2025.
