**The details**:Permanent - 40 hours per week, and 32 hours per week positions

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have exciting opportunities to become Allied Health Assistants and join the Waikato district, working at Waikato Hospital. You will be joining our dedicated multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. You will need to have excellent communication and time management skills, a passion for working with people and enjoy working in a team environment. In this role you will work under the guidance of both occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

Position requirements:

- Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists with client individual rehab programmes
- Set up and educate patients on equipment requirements
- Facilitate exercise and occupational therapy functional groups, as required
- Assist occupational therapists and physiotherapists with patient manual handling
- Undertake patient follow up sessions under the guidance of an occupational therapist or physiotherapist
- Some admin tasks
