Hamilton, New Zealand LGJobs Full time

Full-time, permanent
- Cambridge based (with travel throughout the region)
- Hybrid working flexibility on offer combining 'in office' and 'at home' working opportunities.

The Waikato LASS (Local Authority Shared Services) established a Waikato Centre of Excellence known as the Regional Asset Technical Accord (RATA). With the key focus on road asset management, the primary purpose of this business model is to deliver more advanced asset management than could be achieved independently, to assist better decision making for Councils and reduce whole of life costs for roading assets.

To be considered for this role, ideally you will have some previous experience within asset management / data entry, you will be known for your precise nature and have an eye for detail, have high standards towards accuracy and know the importance of maintaining data integrity. Problem solving is something you will enjoy and this will be supported with your pragmatic and logical approach. An ability to interpret and understand GIS, maps, databases and technical terminology is an advantage and will help you hit the ground running. You will experience opportunities to share knowledge and collaboration with asset management staff across the Waikato region. As well as your technical competencies, communication, organising, prioritising and relationship skills are just as essential.

The Waikato region has a growing reputation for being a prime location for growth and investment, and with good reason. Look back over the past ten years at how our districts have flourished into key locations for people to live, work and play. With growth comes opportunities and in this role you can help contribute to shaping the future of our districts; so whether you're an experienced asset data professional looking to broaden your horizons, or recently graduated within a similar field and looking for your first step on the career ladder we would love to hear from you.
