Kōrero mō te tūranga ' About the role
The Planned Care Team responsibilities include (but not limited to) supporting patient focussed functions such as reception and patient enquiries, referral management, scheduling of outpatient appointments and waiting list scheduling. To ensure that booking scheduling protocols for clinics and waiting lists are strictly followed to minimise disruption to patients and clinicians, to keep waiting times to a minimum and to meet Ministry of Health Targets.

The Planned Care Team covers several aspects of the Patient's journey through the health system. Our team consists of the UBook appointment centre which is responsible for managing referrals and appointments for several medical and surgical outpatient services, the Planned Care services Surgical Booking Office which is responsible for managing surgical waiting lists and associated procedure bookings.
