Due to movement within the organisation, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Swim Education team on a permanent fulltime basis.

As the Swim Education Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering the Swimsmart and Swimsafe programmes at Jellie Park Recreation and Sports Centre, along with streamlining the customer experience. It's essential that you have a sound knowledge of swim education as you will be setting the standard for the Swim Education Instructors and providing them with ongoing training and support, so a relevant qualification and industry experience is a must-have.

We hope you thrive in a busy environment because there is plenty of hustle and bustle at Jellie Park. When it comes to logistics, systems, process and staff, they will be looking to you to ensure we are offering the best customer experience. Day to day you can expect to get involved in timesheets, finding cover, keeping track of the students' progression, and meeting and greeting schools.

Our leadership team is well balanced, bringing plenty of creativity, character and technical expertise. No matter your age or background, swimming has a place for everyone. We want you to be confident in your ability, mature in personality and have a firm but fair approach, remembering that customer focus, communication and being an approachable mentor for your team is a priority.

From time to time, you may be required to hop in the water and teach a class, but we're guessing that won't be a problem. Especially when you see the look on a child's face after they succeed with something they have been struggling with for so long, you get a kick out of those moments of success.
