These opportunities sit in two Directorates within the Financial and Commercial Group.
New Zealand Debt Management

New Zealand Debt Management provide crucial funding for the Government and manage associated risks, while engaging extensively with domestic and global market participants. Your role will be critical in helping deliver this work, that benefits all New Zealanders.

**There are four teams within the NZDM Directorate**: Funding, Investments and Markets (FIM), Accounting Services and Transactions (ATS), Technology, and Risk. This role is based in the Risk team ('home team') and also provides support to the ATS and Technology teams.
In addition to the below responsibilities, this role is critical in working with the Head of Risk to deliver strong secretariat support to the Capital Markets Advisory Committee. There is also scope, depending on interest, to expand the role beyond core tasks, such as through involvement in project planning and management.
Commercial Performance and Governance
There are three Commercial and Institutional Performance (CIP) teams within the Commercial Performance and Governance (CPG) Directorate: CIP: Infrastructure, CIP: Services, and CIP: Investment.
Collectively the three teams are developing a Centre of Excellence for entity performance monitoring within Treasury. The CIP: Investment team delivers the Treasury's monitoring responsibility for investment-focussed and insurance institutions.

**This Team Assistant role is based in the CIP**: Investment team ('home team'), however there will be cross-over support required amongst the three CIP teams. There is also scope, depending on interest, to expand the role beyond core tasks, such as through involvement in project planning and management.

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

As Team Assistant (TA), you will provide exemplary administration, secretarial and coordination support to leaders and their teams to keep them running at full speed. Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating meetings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintaining and updating reports, including document editing and formatting
- Developing and drafting a range of correspondence
- Creating reports from databases
- Taking minutes and following through on actions
- Resource, finance (including invoice/payment), HR and travel administration
- Leading and assisting event management as required, including logistics and programme scheduling.

Ō pūmanawa | About You

You are a talented administrator who is ahead of the curve when it comes to modern processes and practices. You'll bring initiative and the ability to work at pace and prioritise effectively to support your Managers across a variety of work. You'll be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively as you will be called upon to assist with the wider business support network.

To be successful in this role, you will bring with you
- Demonstrated previous administrative experience
- A highly organised and efficient approach with an eye for detail
- A pro-active, can-do attitude and a desire to stretch your administrative capabilities
- The ability to multi-task, re-prioritise and react to issues that arise during the day whilst keeping calm and professional
- A strong customer focus, excellent communication/interpersonal skills and a passion for building great relationships
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a range of web tools
