- Salary: $83,292 - $99,182 We are seeking a fixed term and permanent Senior Ministerial Advisor to play an integral role in the Building Resources and Markets Ministerial Services team. The fixed term role is for 12 months. The team is responsible for the delivery of high quality and timely responses to OIA requests and official correspondence on behalf of the Ministry and its Ministers.

Building Resources and Markets is a group within the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment. Our Group is responsible for many of the regulatory systems that govern New Zealand’s markets including building, communications, competition, consumer and commercial, energy markets, financial markets intellectual property and petroleum and minerals. We are also responsible for the external facing New Zealand Government Procurement and Government Property Group.

**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**: In this role you will work across the Group and regularly interact with our business partners across MBIE, Ministers’ offices and wider stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing high quality official correspondence drafting services within legislative parameters and timeframes.

The successful applicant will play an integral part in ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practice in relation to both their own contribution and also that of the broader team.

Success in the role will be dependent upon a strong ability to build effective relationships and work with others to achieve necessary outcomes.

- A minimum of three years working in the public sector or in areas involving the OIA
- Demonstrated ability to form robust professional working relationships
