Nightshift Maintenance Engineer required to join the SRS engineering team based in Rolleston at our modern saw mill.

This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic engineer to be part of our continuous improvement process by joining the engineering team to maintain and improve our equipment and processing capabilities.

The successful applicant will join a small team responsible for maintaining a variety of processing machinery and equipment; this includes preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and working on improvement projects.

This is a full time permanent position. Normal hours of work would be Monday to Thursday 3pm until 2:30am.

A salary that reflects the important nature of this position will be offered to a suitable applicant. A suitable applicant will have a minimum of Engineering Trade Certificate or similar qualification, have proven experience in a maintenance role including checking and identifying machinery maintenance and repair requirements, have strong fitting and welding skills, well organised and eye for detail. Lathe and milling experience will be a plus.The applicant will work unsupervised and will be confident in decision making.

Nightshift experience is preferable but not essential, experience with modern sawmill and timber manufacturing equipment would also be an advantage but not essential.
