**About the Opportunity**:

As such, we are looking for a Snr Network Engineer to be based at our head office within our offices in Auckland.
**The Primary purpose of this role is to**:
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
- Support and maintain routing and switching network services (Cisco) (SD WAN)
- Support and maintain Firewalls (Palo Alto) (Cisco)
Key Responsibilities will be.
- Working with key IT stakeholders ensure network design meets business needs.
- Support the development of the technology strategy and framework that's in line with the long term GF goals.
- Maintain technical documentation and diagrams
- Provide Support for all network related issues (Incidents/Service requests/Change
- Provide expert advice at the Technical Design meetings and raise awareness of existing standards and current systems.
- Managing vendor support through to resolution
- Promote a culture of innovation. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement within role, processes, team and the IT organisation as a whole.
- Contribute to the definition and validation of architecture principles and standards about Application and Infrastructure architecture standards.
- After hour support may be required.
**To be successful within this role you will have the following**:
**Technical Competencies**:
- Expert knowledge managing LAN/WAN (Cisco)
- Expert network troubleshooting skills and understanding of complex traffic flow
- Expert knowledge with SDWAN solutions like VMWare Velocloud
- Expert knowledge managing Firewalls (ASA/Palo Alto)
- Possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Can manage relationships across the organisation at multiple levels.
- Possess excellent communication skills both written and oral.
**Qualifications required**:
- CCNA Certification highly desirable
- Continuous relevant training and development to support career
Experience required
- 5 years' experience in network Infrastructure roles
