**About the Role**

The Auckland-based Change and Release Specialist is responsible for owning the change control process and managing information system environment changes for the New Zealand Blood Service. This role works closely with the IT teams in Infrastructure, Business Applications and Blood Management Systems as well as External vendors and partners to ensure that all changes are properly documented, tested, and implemented with minimum disruption to the ongoing operations of the business.

You will be involved in:

- Owning and managing the change control process, tools, and platforms
- Continuously review and improve the change management process to ensure it remains effective and efficient
- Establish and manage a testing process for all changes, ensuring that test plans are in place before the change is approved
- Facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are involved, changes are properly reviewed, assessed, and approved in accordance with the established change management process
- Provide support and guidance to implementers to ensure compliance with the change control process and to consider GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) where appropriate
- Coordinate with the IS team, Business stakeholders and vendors to plan and schedule changes to minimize disruptions to ongoing operations

**About You**
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework and experience implementing change management processes
- Experience in managing and coordinating IT infrastructure changes, including impact analysis, risk assessment, change approvals, and change implementation
- Strong understanding of IT security and compliance requirements, with experience in implementing and enforcing security and compliance policies in change and release management processes
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to work self-directed and towards deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to change management and release management processes
- An appetite for personal growth in an autonomous environment.
