At the heart of Maritime New Zealand's success is the provision of a broad range of administrative and other business support functions.
**What you'll do**:
As the Team Administrator - Maritime Inspections, you'll be responsible for providing general administrative support to the Maritime Inspections Team. The team is spread throughout New Zealand so your well-developed communication skills will be key in ensuring effective communication flow and connections within the wider Regulatory Operations and Business Support group.
You'll work collaboratively with the Hub Coordinators and become a key member of the wider Business Support team, which will provide you with professional development, collegial support and a clear sense of purpose.
**Day to day you'll**:
- Provide administrative support to team(s) to enable the team to deliver required outputs efficiently and effectively
- Coordinate meetings and events, including minute taking and organising meeting requirements such as venue, equipment and catering
- Code invoices and credit card reconciliations and ensure that these are authorised at the appropriate level and forwarded to finance in a timely manner
- Organise domestic and international travel
**What we're looking for**:
- Sound experience in an administrative role supporting Managers and teams.
- Sound working knowledge of MS Office products
- Flexible can do attitude with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fast accurate typist with experience transcribing electronically recorded statements a definite plus.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a culturally safe and respectful manner, always being mindful of the cultural diversity of the industry and having regard to Te Ao Māori and Treaty of Waitangi principles
