Survivor Experiences Service
Department of Internal Affairs provides continued support to Survivors of abuse in care through the Survivor Experiences Service.
The Survivor Experiences Service provides a safe, supportive, confidential place for Survivors to share their experiences of abuse in care, to support healing. The Service supports Survivors to locate and obtain their personal records related to their time in care.
Team Administration role:
As the Team Administrator you will provide support to our Survivor Facing teams to enable their ability to be solely focused on our survivors and each conversation and interaction.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Able to work in the office 5 days a week.
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the managers and kaimahi within the Survivor facing teams of the Survivor Experiences Service
- Coordinate and book travel and accommodation for the Private Sessions team and the Relationships team.
- Assist in producing high quality documents including formatting, printing, collating, photocopying and distribution
- Monitor the information management requirements for the teams
- Manage and maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, across Survivor -facing teams
- Provide process improvement support, using initiative to problem solve situations
- Administrative support for Survivor-related activity: processing referral, couriering transcripts etc
- Being comfortable working in the grey
- High levels of initiative and common sense
