We’re looking for an exceptional Category Assistant to join our Building Products team at our Albany Support Centre. This is a **7-month fixed term role** covering maternity leave cover starting March 2026. A fantastic opportunity to take your first step into product management and retail operations, with exposure to buying, product development, supplier relations, negotiation, and analysis.

You’ll work closely with and be mentored by our Category Manager, supporting the growth of dynamic and varied product categories. At Mitre 10, we offer a clear career pathway for those keen to progress into category management, and this role is the critical first step.

What you’ll be doing:

- Provide administrative support to the Category Manager in range management.

- Maintain and update product stock files.

- Assist with planning and implementing promotional programmes.
- Communicate effectively with stores, suppliers, and customers.

What we’re looking for:

- Solid administration experience and/or a relevant qualification (Retail, Business, Operations, Supply Chain).

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.

- Excellent organizational ability and a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
