We're looking for a dynamic Category Manager to take
our Housewares category to the next level. If you're passionate about
delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving commercial success,

About the Role

As a Category Manager within our Merchandise team, you'll
operate in a highly competitive market and be responsible for developing and
implementing strategies that give us a clear edge. This role is all about
creating a compelling offer for our customers while achieving strong financial
results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering
    company and category financial targets.
  • Developing
    and maintaining the Mitre 10 merchandise offer.
  • Planning
    and executing category strategy and promotional programs.
  • Building
    strong supplier relationships and implementing best practice.
  • Communicating
    merchandise initiatives effectively across stores, suppliers, and
    stakeholders.
  • Coaching
    and mentoring a high-performing Category Assistant team.

This is a role for someone with energy, influence, and a
passion for retail excellence.

About You:

  • At
    least 5 years' experience in category management and 5–10 years in retail
    or consumer goods.
  • Proven
    success leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong
    negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in FMCG, cleaning chemicals/equipment/brushware,
    Kitchenware/Tableware, Seasonal Indents, and Housewares categories is
    advantageous.
