Service Manager - Specialty Focus
- **Permanent - 80 hours per fortnight (Involvement in on-call roster required)**:

**The Position**

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has become available for a qualified health professional (e.g. Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist), with experience supporting people who are living with mental health challenges or an intellectual disability to provide guidance and leadership to Support Workers within the Porirua/Kapiti area.

Reporting to the Area Manager, and being an integral member of the management team, you will be responsible for the delivery of supported accommodation services within the 'Regional Intellectual Disability Supported Accommodation Service' (RIDSAS) program involving mental health and/or high and complex clients, with a focus on enabling them to live well and participate in their community. Your previous leadership and team management experience will be key to achieving effective management of the day-to-day success of your team of Support Workers.

**The Requirements**
- Demonstrated awareness, sensitivity and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi.
- Relevant tertiary level health sector qualification.
- Experience and knowledge in the field of intellectual disability, mental illness and high & complex needs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and support a team of people to achieve quality-based outcomes.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to identify priorities and achieve deadlines.
- Experience in initiating, embracing, driving and managing positive changes.
- Full NZ Drivers Licence.
- The legal right to work in New Zealand.
