**About the Role**
Are you ready to lead with purpose and drive meaningful impact? At Aon, we’re looking for an experienced Assurance Manager to champion our first line of defence risk and quality assurance framework across Aon New Zealand. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape how we manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver better outcomes for our clients and colleagues. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and play a key role in embedding a strong risk culture across the business.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**:
- Leading the development and execution of Aon NZ’s Quality Assurance and Remediation programmes.
- Managing a high-performing Assurance team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Providing strategic insights from audit findings to enhance client and colleague outcomes.
- Overseeing risk controls, incident tracking, and remediation activities across the business.
- Supporting governance requirements and contributing to enterprise-wide leadership initiatives.
- Acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador to internal and external collaborators.
**Skills and experience that will lead to success**:
- Proven senior leadership experience in the financial services or consulting sector, ideally with a strong compliance or assurance focus.
- Tertiary qualification in Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of operating within a controlled environment, including risk frameworks and regulatory obligations.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Strong commercial competence and the ability to operate strategically and tactically.
