**Job Description**:
**The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi**

We have a fantastic opportunity for a new **Energy Manager** to join our wider Facilities Management Team.

You will be working across a wide and varied portfolio ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective energy and water programmes that fulfil the University’s sustainability and Net Zero carbon commitments and provide an excellent user experience.

There are three main areas of focus for this role:

- Ongoing monitoring and reporting in line with best practice, international standards and the University’s Estate Strategy 2021-2030 and Net Zero Carbon Progressive Pathway 2030.
- Energy and water management plans and implementation based on conservation, demand management, efficiency, decarbonisation principles and user engagement.
- Management of all buildings and infrastructure energy and water provision to in a manner that leads best practice and innovation and meets any relevant industry, sustainability and GHG standards

This role reports to the Technical Services Manager in the Facilities Management team however they work very closely with our Associate Director - Sustainable Estate & Operations.
