**Job Description**:
**Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role**

As the Insight and Analytics Manager, you will lead the insights and analytics functions for the innovation and growth (I&G) team at Contact Energy.

A core focus of this role will be to increase Contact Energy’s customer footprint and drive Contact Energy’s portfolio of products and customer base to have the highest lifetime value in the categories we operate in.

What makes this role really exciting and stand out from other insight roles is being part of the I&G team your mission will be to take Contact from an energy and telco retailer to a truly multi-product digital retailer of products and services that make it “Good to be home”. The way you’ll do this is with joining market insight, big data, and qualitative insight to drive key insights from which the business can execute.

**Some of the way’s you’ll do this**:

- As a senior member of the Innovation and Growth leadership team, you will provide guidance, support, coaching and leadership to the wider I&G team to create a world class environment for our people.
- Use data and insights to support all product, growth, retention, and engagement to drive Customer Lifetime Value of Contact Energy Product and Customer portfolio.
- Work with all levels of the business, including the board and senior leadership teams to create, agree and champion a future state of Contact’s retail business.

**Qualifications**:
**Ko wai koe | About you**

This won’t be your first rodeo, to take Contact into the future you will bring previous experience as an Insight’s manager or lead, preferably with a Telco/Energy background.

Some of the key skills and experience you’ll bring along:

- Previous experience working as an Insight’s & Analytics manager/lead.
- Experience in a dynamic & completive industry.
- Leadership & coaching experience, with proven ability to develop and grow Insight analysts.
- Ability to analyse data coming out of third-party data sets e.g. social networks, Statistics NZ, as well as any other information related to mobile analytics.
- Able to share and articulate your business acumen and partner with line-of-business peers, including finance, technology, operational excellence. This will ensure that together you can identify information needs and develop reporting.

Some of the techy stuff we work with that you will be confident in: Data bricks, SQL, Python, and Power BI to name a few
